On the second Saturday of the month, we host our Cena Sarda and Olianas nights. These are dining clubs for about 14 guests, they are always held on a Saturday but please see my twitter page @Cenasarda for dates and details. Our aim is to cook for you a taste of Italy, especially my native Sardinia, trying to use locally sourced products as much as possible
Our Cena Sarda will be the full experience of a traditional Sardinian meal served round a large dining table. From the antipasti of meats and some of my own, award winning, cheeses right through to the Mirto liqueur if you still have room! In between comes pasta dishes from my family’s recipes and perhaps roast suckling pig with delicious crispy crackling served with Mediterranean style vegetables and potatoes. As an alternative, some months we serve our fish menu. This is the same format but each course includes fish, the pasta may be in a fish sauce and the main course fresh fish cooked in our Sardinian style. Of course, if required, I am happy to change anything to suit individual dietary requirements.
Our Olianas evenings are when Mario has free reign to cook other dishes he is passionate about. You will still get the warm Italian welcome from your hosts but with a twist!
